Every film is a roller coaster ride of emotions” is very true. But what if at the very end of the excitement and joy of an exciting ride, you are suddenly thrown off the ride?
Yes, this movie is like that
After a long time I saw such a sweet and refreshing movie on a new concept.
Abir and Mimi did not look good in the formal look of the corporate, the screen time of both of them is very less but still their story in the whole movie is able to create a strange beautiful chemistry between them.
Abir and Mimi’s performance is good and over all they are very nice to watch.
There are three songs in the movie, ” Weather Says “, ” Dibaratri Kavya “, ” Sakhi Go ” and all three songs go well with the story and are very pleasant to listen too.
As the story is familiar to those who have seen the trailer, Pablo and Aditi share a flat day-night but never meet each other. However, they used to write and talk together under the same roof and lived like a family with an understanding.
Until the intermission, the movie is very engaging and great fun to watch, the story moves at a nice pace and the audience gets completely involved with this strange world of Aditi Pablo.
After the intermission the second half moves in a straight line, mainly it takes the story to a tragic side when Aditi suddenly leaves for Delhi without telling Pablo and they don’t talk.
Now let’s go to the spoiler. I will tell those who have read this far without watching the movie, it is a very nice refreshing movie which will be really good to watch but The last 5 mins climax was very disappointing for me, others may like it.
My rating is 5/10 (the story is good, only the 5 is deducted for that 5 minutes climax)
My own feeling :-
Now when a new character Swatilekha comes in the story as the third person with whom Pablo’s marriage is arranged by his mother, but Pablo is totally obsessed with Aditi and regrets that they did not talk once again.
So far everything had been moving smoothly and slowly, a tense tension in the audience.
Needless to say, I found Swastika in this second stage role of Swatilekha to be absolutely horrible, she was playing such a bad heroine that she was getting angry when she came to the screen and the character was not written on her properly.
Anyway, according to the story, the tension ends when Pablo finally meets Aditi. But instead of ending the story here, the author of the story thought, “If we make a Bengali romantic movie so beautifully, the audience might like it, but we cannot make a good movie. We have to do something horrible this time so that the audience abuses Bengali cinema at the end”.
So be it! At the end, Aditi thinks that Pablo loves Swatilekha because when they met, Pablo was only talking about her, so Aditi leaves after congratulating them on their marriage, and throughout the second half, Pablo, who was crazy about Aditi, wanted to find her by smelling her perfume, remembering every memory she left behind, and Swati. With whom there was 0 chemistry, 0 feelings for him, 0 bonding between them, he also suddenly liked Swati.
Swati also falls in love with Pablo after meeting him for a few weekends, and finally agrees to marry such a confused boy, who doesn’t know who he loves at all.
I mean, the last 5 minutes of the last 5 minutes being weird can’t be interpreted as absurd, there’s no point. Not only us, but also the entire audience in the hall was very angry.
It would have been acceptable if the two never spoke again in the story.
-If in the story the love, bonding, understanding between Pablo and Swati in Aditi’s absence was shown very beautifully then the ending would have been justified.
- I would have accepted if the audience would have liked and sympathized with Swati’s character in the story, but Swastika’s bad acting was unbearable despite being a positive character and the character was not established properly.
As long as Aditi was not there Pablo was restless for Aditi and when he got her all the restlessness ended and he talked about Swati so much that Aditi thought that he might be in love with Swati, so he left a letter.
I didn’t understand how it was a strange ending, at the end it was not clear who exactly Pablo loves. Pablo is having a hard time leaving Swati and going to Aditi and knowing that Aditi has left again.
With the strange decisions of the three and the confused Pablo who is shunted around like a shartel cock, the end of the story is completely messed up.
I really like the movie so I really want to forget that ending.
For me, the movie ends when Pablo returns to his flat after not finding Aditi in the hotel and suddenly finds the familiar smell of Aditi’s perfume near the door and tries to close his eyes to feel it and just then Aditi comes out from behind Dida’s door in the front room and for the first time the two of them Seeing the two and they finally “talk”.
Trust Me The whole hall screamed with joy at this particular synth. ❤️🙂
Then the two would have their first and last face-to-face conversation with each other.
Aditi:- Finally we met.
Pablo: – We have met before, it was not just the conversation.
Diameter! Everything would have been beautiful if the story ended with the song “Sakhi Go” here. There was no need to show the audience what they did, what they said, whether they stayed together or not after the first conversation after finding each other. If it ended like this, the audience would have been happy and the name “alap” would have been very well justified.❤️
For many years, I wanted to see a love movie of Abir and Mimi pair, I thought that hope would be fulfilled this time but “however, it was not the end as expected”.
